On 3-29-2015 the Covert Township Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 73000 block of CR 378. SHAES and Bangor Community fire departments were requested as mutual aid to assist. Fire crews arrived to find a garage unit fully involved with a house and large propane tank nearby. Fire crews worked quickly and were able to limit the fire damage to the house to just some melted siding. The fire was stopped before causing the propane tank to explode. The Covert Township Fire Department would like to thank our neighboring departments for their continued assistance!
