On 1/15/2015 at approximately 1:15 pm, the Covert Township Fire Department was dispatched to Blue Star Highway near CR 378 for a rollover accident. Upon arrival, rescuers found a large van that had rolled over, and both occupants out of the vehicle. One of the occupants required medical attention and was transported to a local hospital. A dog was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Covert Township was assisted by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department, South Haven Police, and the Van Buren County Animal Control. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
